About Drama Short Play
An independent reader's guide to vertical short dramas, set out like a broadsheet.
What you will find here
Vertical short dramas are serials filmed upright for a phone screen and cut into very short episodes, often ending each one on a reversal. Drama Short Play gives every listed series a compact report in the manner of an entertainment desk brief: a red label for the type of story, a one-sentence standfirst, two paragraphs on the situation and the central conflict, a handful of key points and a note on which viewers the series suits.
Reports are prepared from the synopsis and listing details that distributors publish for each title, and they are revised when a listing changes. The date printed on a story page is the date the distributor put the series online.
Who runs it, and who does not
Drama Short Play is a stand-alone guide. We did not make any of these series, we are not a studio or a production house, and we are not the app or streaming service that sells them. Titles, posters and footage remain the property of their rights holders, and the series are listed here so readers can find and sample them.
Where the episodes come from
No video is stored on this site. Pressing play makes your browser request the episode directly from whoever distributes it, either the company that owns the rights or the platform licensed to stream it. A few series come packed into a single archive file; for those, a small script from this site lifts the one episode you chose out of the archive, inside your own browser.
How the site pays for itself
Under each player is a red button that continues the series in its official app. The button leads to a short hand-off page with the series code and a link onward. Several of those onward links carry an affiliate tag, so a subscription or an episode purchase made after following one can earn this site a commission from the platform. The commission does not change the price you are charged.
Editions and delivery
The paper is published in editions for up to 22 languages. Each edition lists its series newest first, keeps a front page built from the platforms' own popularity charts, and groups recurring themes into sections. Pages are delivered through the Cloudflare network, and our own server keeps a routine access log. We hold no accounts and gather no personal details; theprivacy page sets this out in full.
