Evelyn wins five million dollars, then loses everything when her stepfather steals her identity for money laundering.
Episode 1–8English
Evelyn scraped together a survival budget on her last dollars when a five-million-dollar lottery win should have changed everything. That same week, her stepfather Gavin ejected her from the house after she refused to co-sign his mounting debts, and her mother Marian stayed silent as the door closed.
Gavin discovered the windfall, drained the accounts, and hijacked Evelyn's identity to launder money for the Russo crime family. Marian repeatedly defended him, even coercing a forged signature from Evelyn at her own wedding, forcing Evelyn to draw a legal boundary that severed the debt and cut off contact.
