A celebrated surgeon is assaulted by suitors who claim she is an impostor and destroy her surgical hand.
Episode 1–11English
Chief surgeon Ava Carter arrives home after a São Paulo lecture expecting her father Edward's welcome. Instead, Edward has dispatched the three Langston brothers — Pierce, Derek, and Ethan — to pressure her into choosing a husband. Derek and Ethan intercept her at a school gate, where Derek shatters her mother's pocket watch and stomps on her right hand, crippling the limb she needs for surgery. Professor Charles intervenes and is beaten unconscious by all three brothers. Ava insists she is the Carter Group heiress, but the brothers reject her claim and escalate the assault.
When Pierce arrives he also refuses to believe her, choking Ava and snapping her already damaged hand. The harassment continues at the hospital where she is treated. Her assistant Arthur presents the family's signet ring as proof, yet the brothers accuse them of theft. Meanwhile, information from Charles reveals the Langstons have been profiting illegally from the hospital. At a banquet Ava publicly asserts her identity, but the brothers deny it until Edward appears and confirms her status, forcing their surrender.
