During an eight-win streak, a flashbang blinds a competitive gamer and transports him into a post-apocalyptic novel he previously criticized. He awakens inside the body of a minor character sharing his name, trapped outside an armored transport while Tier Six zombies encircle the vehicle.
The character's wife orders gunners to seal the hatch, broadcasting his imminent death camp-wide to secure inner-city citizenship for herself. Her male accomplice anticipates a permanent residency slot once the horde devours the bait, forcing the transmigrated gamer to weaponize his tactical experience against the scripted demise.
