Ines escapes the Viscontis, is returned by her birth family, and chooses prosecution over revenge.

Ines spent nineteen years inside the Visconti mafia household before fleeing at twenty-three to locate her biological parents and pursue a normal existence. Eight months later those same parents surrender her to a debt broker to cover her younger brother's illegal gambling losses, and the transport delivers her directly back to the Visconti estate she had abandoned.

Upon her return the adoptive parents who raised her demand vengeance against her biological relatives, yet Ines refuses retaliation and insists the birth family answer through the legal system. While pretending to rejoin the clan, she covertly partners with Naomi, a woman compelled to serve the organization, to collect proof of criminal activity.
