Zoe's silent rescue of Carter is stolen by Ava, triggering a chain of violence, loss, and a coronation revelation.
Episode 1–8English
Three years earlier, Zoe pulled a blind Carter from mortal danger and pressed a bullet necklace into his hand as a wordless pledge. Ava intercepted the moment, claimed the rescue for herself, and sealed a double blood oath with Carter that erased Zoe from the narrative entirely.
Branded a fraud, Zoe suffered a gunshot through her right hand at Carter's command. Later, when kidnappers forced him to choose between the two women, Carter reached for Ava, a decision that cost Zoe her unborn child. At Carter's coronation, the ancient Godmother exposed the deception, driving Zoe to burn the oath tattoo from her skin as Carter collapsed in regret.
